Out of Home Care
The OOHC Services provide young people between the ages of 12 and 17 years who are vulnerable, disadvantaged, homeless or those at risk of disadvantage or homelessness and their families who are coming from state care and require intensive support , with short term, emergency and medium term supported accommodation and housing.
SYFS provides a number of different models and components and delivers services across the Southern Region. These include the two intensive support beds which have operated since January 1999 and the Kambiyo Service which has been operating since December 1999. Some elements will be phased in and the whole model will be implemented by 2011.
Please Note: all referrals to Out of Home Care are via NSW Community Services
