Outreach Services

Outreach Support assists people not directly accommodated in SYFS residential services by providing a range of services both on and offsite. Outreach services are delivered in a flexible manner to cater for the induvidual needs of those requiring support

 

Resourcing Adolescents to Gain Essentials Scheme (RAGE)

RAGE aims to provide services to young people between the ages of 14 and 23 years (inclusive)  in the Illawarra and 14 to 17 years (inclusive) in the Shoalhaven who are vulnerable, disadvantaged, homeless or those at risk of disadvantage and homelessness and have lived away from home for a long time or cannot return home.

RAGE also provides assistance to young people vulnerable due to alcohol and/or other drugs use and other situations that may cause vulnerability.

Independent Living Situation Program (ILS)

This Program assists young people between the ages of 14 and 23 years (inclusive)  who are vulnerable, disadvantaged, homeless or those at risk of disadvantage and homelessness to live independently.
The Program helps young people locate and establish affordable housing and provides the opportunity to learn basic living skills such as budgeting.

Resourcing Adolescents Independent Living Scheme (RAILS)

 Contact:(02) 4228 9907 This Program provides intensive support to young people between the ages of 14 and 17 who are vulnerable, disadvantaged, homeless or those at risk of disadvantage and homelessness and their families.

These young people are clients of the of Juvenile Justice and those at risk of entering the Juvenile Justice system. The Program primarily assists young people to locate, establish and maintain affordable housing.

Transition Into Independent Living Allowance (TILA)

Southern Youth and Family Services is the sole national provider of the Transition to Independent Living Allowance (TILA). TILA is a one-off support from the Australian Government to help young people who are leaving care to meet some of the costs involved in moving to independent living.

Emergency Relief Program (ERP)
