Young Mum's Group

The Young Mums Group provides a supportive and safe environment for all young mothers under the age of 24. 

Joining this group is free and will give you the opportunity to meet other young mums while learning valuable information about parenting.

Other Services We Offer for Young Mums:

  • appointment and support from a trained midwife for antenatal care
  • liaison with maternity services at the hospital for full booking history and other pregnancy care support when required
  • referrals to Specialists, Obstetricians and other services, information and advocacy
  • living and social skills education, healthy behaviours and skills, birthing education, birthing classes (available in Wollongong and Shellharbour)
  • practical assistance including transport
  • general support and advice

Southern Youth and Family Services (SYFS), is an independent, local community-based benevolent (charity) organisation in the Southern part of NSW. SYFS provides support and assistance to vulnerable, disadvantaged and homeless young people and those at risk of, disadvantage and homelessness. This support extends to the children and families of these young people.
