NETWORK - Wollongong
The Project provides access to a range of specialised training in hospitality (skill sets), living and social skills workshops and support for disadvantaged youth who may be disengaged from mainstream education and training services.
This allows young people experiencing disadvantage to develop skills that assist the transition towards employment and or further training, resulting in fulfilling careers and sustainable livelihoods.
The Project includes:
- Delivery of accredited training in hospitality and café skill sets.
- Training will be delivered through SYFS RTO 45411 and in association with SYFS ‘The MET’ Social Enterprise Café in Warilla.
- Participants will be provided with a Statement of Attainment to facilitate transition towards employment or further training through mainstream institutions.
- Supplementary workshops (non-accredited training) in:
a range of hospitality and cafe skills
rental and financial management (Rent it Keep It)
The Program provides additional supports including case management, referrals, and ongoing support through SYFS NETWORK Program.
The Project is funded through the Stronger Country Communities Fund by the NSW Government and Southern Youth and Family Services
